The service’s development was based on an understanding of the specifics of fitness programs and a desire to personalize content to the end user’s current needs and condition. It was decided to focus on user-entered data, such as age, weight, physical condition, and desired results. The algorithm matches these data with programs using taxonomy and classification to deliver relevant content.
Functionality and design
To get users up and running as quickly as possible, they simply need to complete a two-step survey to provide the service with data that will be used to create an initial profile and create a personalized training plan.
The app is designed in a minimalist style to keep the user focused on the content.
After entering your personal data, the system creates a personalized training program that the user can use in their daily workouts. Updating your personal data changes the content, so the app is designed to adapt and grow with the user.
One way to attract new users is by allowing users to share their progress on popular social media, encouraging others to download the app. A freemium model was also introduced, allowing new users to sign up for a trial period with 10-minute workouts. To remove the limitation, users must upgrade to a paid subscription.
Conclusion
The app became a commercially successful project for our client. Active sharing of their results by users and content updates by the program’s author not only created a new source of income for the business but also expanded the audience for their personal brand. Equally important, the product helped many people become healthier and happier. This app development model is suitable for projects that receive traffic from social media and want to create an additional source of monetization for their expertise.
